Blog Makeover

If you are reading this in Google Reader or some other site like that, you should click on this blog title and take a look at my blog makeover.

I've been wanting a background and header, but the prices that some people charge are ridiculous. And unfortunately, I'm not skilled in photoshop to create my own. After browsing many design sites, I figured I would just get a pre-made template despite not really liking all the design aspects - background, header, colors.

Then I happened to click on Strosgirl's Designs website. The price for a custom blog makeover was pretty good, so I sent in my request. I wasn't expecting to get a response for a couple of days and then figured I would be in the queue for some time. Angie responded the same day, and two days later, my blog was designed.

I knew I wanted a simple header and a bold background. I have this water bottle that has a design pattern I really like, so I sent a picture to Angie and asked if she could do something with it. Sure enough, she was able to recreate the design to make the background.

So yay for having a pretty blog!
