Just this past week I was talking to Liam about how girls kill me when they watch sports. They don't pay attention all season long, but then suddenly the last game of the season they become a big fan - usually during the last few plays of the game.
We also talked about girls who try to talk about the sport but then don't use the correct terms.
Cut to tonight - UT in the first game of the CWS (College World Series, for those who don't know). The 9th inning came along and all of a sudden there were facebook status updates from girls who haven't posted about UT prior to tonight's game.
And then one girl posted "we're in overtime." NO!!! ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! Has she not ever noticed that there is not a freakin' time clock in baseball?!?! There are innings. UT is in EXTRA INNINGS. NOT FREAKING OVERTIME!
I get that she at least grasped the concept of what was happening. But again, no status updates prior to tonight's game. And then wrong terminology.
