Let's talk about boys for a quick minute... which has nothing to do with music except that the video at the end of the post is about boys.
This weekend I met up with a couple of friends I haven't seen in a really long time. We used to be close, but for some reason we drifted apart. Between singing and dancing along to the Spazmatics, we caught up on life and I got the scoop on other friends I haven't seen in awhile. It seems that a boy I had a brief relationship (if you call it that) with is now dating a girl who has a kid. The boy I dated for five years is dating a girl who has two kids. And the boy I dated before him is dating a girl who has a kid.
What the eff? How is it possible that the three guys I had relationships with are all dating girls with kids? I guess as long as they are happy. It's still weird.

To my friends who read this who had the unfortunate luck of being my friend during the five years I dated the ex - I apologize for all the crap you had to listen to from me during that time. Same story, different day. A present situation in which I'm now in my friend's shoes years ago puts it all into perspective. I want to die when I hear the same ol' story. I can only imagine how y'all felt, so once again, I'm so incredibly sorry.*****
I'm still in that random phase of wanting a boyfriend. I don't know why. Maybe it's because all of my friends are married and have started in on the baby-making. I guess I feel a bit left out. Or not really left out, just different from them. Hell, I don't know. My life has been a bit stagnant lately, minus the last couple of weeks. Perhaps it's been that the month of March was difficult and there was nobody there. I just want that comfort of having someone ask me how my day was, to laugh at Modern Family with, to be lazy with on the weekends, to just be there. Le sigh... oh well. Time to get ready for tomorrow's concert!

no rush on the boyfriend/marriage/kids thing. just mix up your social circle and have fun meeting new people. you have plenty of time to get shackled down. :)
