The title of this entry is courtesy of a friend who left that precious gem of a comment on my facebook status.
Remember back in January when I posted this thought cloud? Well, I can finally announce the good news... though if we are facebook friends or you follow me on twitter, then you already know.
My dearest loved ones are all expecting babies in the next few months!
Best friend Terence (also known on this blog as TP) and his wife Caitlin, one of my dear college friends/"Miranda" in our own version of SATC, are expecting a baby girl in late May. A few weeks before finding out the sex of the baby, TP and I were lunching at Panera Bread and there was a father and his young daughter sitting in the booth next to us. It looked like they were on a father-daughter outing, and it was super cute. I said to TP, "that's going to be you and your little girl in a few years." Their little girl is going to be mush in TP's hands!
My bestie Julia and her husband James are expecting a baby (sex unknown) in late August. Back in October, I might have been a tad drunk at OU Weekend (like that's a surprise) and tweeted that my birthday wish was for my best friend to get pregnant. And lo and behold, wish granted! I also might have been drunk when I told Julia that I would buy her a Coach baby bag and throw her a Coach-themed baby shower. I am co-hosting a shower, but it hasn't been decided if the infamous Cs will make an appearance.
My brother Arnold and sister-in-law Paige are expecting twins the first week of September. More than likely, they will be delivered early, so there's a possibility that they will make an appearance the same time as Julia's baby. To say that the announcement of twins was a shock would be an understatement. Twins do not run on either side of the family, so everyone was surprised. It's crazy to think that at the ripe age of 28, I already have 2 nieces and 2 nephews, and in one day, I'll have two more. Freaking 6 nieces and nephews... I'm too young and too broke for that!
In addition, four of my co-workers are also expecting babies this summer: Whitney and her husband Joe (a baby boy in July), Randy and his wife Lisa (sex unknown, 3 days before/after Whitney in July), Erin and her husband Dave (sex unknown in August), and Britt and her boyfriend Bobby (sex unknown in early September). As usual with our workplace, we will have a great big baby shower for all the couples sometime this summer.
There are also a whole slew of high school and college friends who are pregnant, according to facebook. I'm not too close to any of them, so that'll save me money.
Wow, that sounded harsh. But seriously... it's going to be an expensive summer!
But more than that, it's going to be an amazingly happy and magical summer for my dear friends and family. I cannot wait to meet all these babies - but I won't hold them... I'll admire from a distance. And I'm so incredibly happy for everyone as they enter this new chapter in their lives.

haha i've got you beat with 11 nieces and nephews. we've capped birthdays and christmas gifts to $15 checks a piece. it still adds up, but saves me the trouble of shopping for all 11 twice a year and fighting over who got what.
