Reunion is a No-Go

Remember my last real post - high school flashback? I was a bit excited for my 10 year high school reunion but not so excited about the date.

Well, the reunion is definitely a no-go for me. I waited until just last week to make the decision to go, and when I put in my request at work to have the game off, I was told no. Apparently many coworkers are taking the first game off, so we are bordering on being short-staffed.

Yes, my fault for waiting so long to request off. But I'm still bummed about the date the planning committee selected. Quite a few classmates were upset since it's Labor Day weekend, travel is expensive, kids are back in school, etc. You would think that the committee would have sent out a survey beforehand - oh wait... they did. But it just asked about a family picnic, food for the event, and ticket price. If they had asked about the date, I'm sure this wouldn't even be an issue.

But as it is, no reunion for me. Which does make me a bit sad.

Ohsie wellsies... time to shine the cowboy boots and plan my game day outfit!
