Avoiding the T.V.

I've sucked at updating the past few months. Work got really crazy due to our new scholarship program. We are trying to get a bunch of stuff done before the application goes live on August 2nd. I feel like I've been in a meeting every day of the week the last two months. And then my scholarship deadline was June 1st while I was in South Carolina, so it's been a few weeks of getting to the office, turning on Pandora, putting the headphones on and zoning out while I get work done.

Volleyball has been taking a toll on my body. I'm playing three times a week. I come home with a new bruise after each game. By the time I get home from work or volleyball, I'm so tired that I go straight to sleep.

I probably won't update until mid-July. I'm going to Minneapolis for a work conference for a week. I'm actually looking forward to it. Looking at the schedule, there will be lots of free time to roam around the city. I'm hoping to see a Twins game at the new Target Field...and Mall of America.

Avoiding the t.v. has worked in my favor so far (Father's Day = sappy movies). But I know it's just a matter of time until "Father of the Bride" starts playing on repeat on TBS. So with that, I think my best bet is to get out of my apartment and not take any chances.
